Solve Firefox 2.0 freezes

A couple of days ago I wrote about the problems I've had with Firefox 2.0 being terribly unstable. The fifteen restarts a day it needed to keep it going were enough to drive one batty. In my case the problem has largely been solved by uninstalling the Google Toolbar seems to have solved the problem most of the time. I still hold my breath when the spinning wheel of colored death appears from time to time but it usually goes away quickly. With the Google Toolbar it went away never.

Correction -- Disabling is what I did

To disable the tool bar go to Tools > Add-ons and select the Google Toolbar and check "Disable". Once it is disabled you can then go back and click on "Uninstall". It turns out I just disabled it instead of uninstalling. There is also Googlebar Lite that has many of the features and doesn't seem to cause freezes and crashes.

Thank you!

Thanks for un-driving me around the bend. No annoying freezes after disabling the Google Toolbar so far.

Cannot uninstall Google Toolbar from Firefox

I'm running XP Pro; after I run the uninstall, it tells me that it will be gone when I restart Firefox, but it (Google Toolbar) keeps coming back. Help, please.

Fix Firefox Freeze !!!!

It's very simple , use only the default theme that comes with Firefox and remove all add ons , this will solve any and all problems , believe me I tried everything and this is the only thing that works.
