Sandy Valley Motocross

ASW Enterprises, LLC, a Nevada LLC doing business as Sandy Valley Motocross located in Mesquite California received permits to begin operating a motocross track in the Spring of 2004. In the summer of 2004 the track's owners started operating lights to race and do track maintenance at night when the temperatures were lower. Complaints about the lights lead to a number of letters about the track in the local paper including this letter from Kit and Clark, owners of Sandy Valley Motocross.

On February 10, 2005 a hearing was held at San Bernardino county planning commission. Leading up to the hearing the track owners appeared at the Sandy Valley Citizens Advisory Council in January and made various appeals online for support. This is a sampling of those appeals and some additional materials related to the track and the process.

Sandy Valley Motocross Park public hearing is scheduled for 9am Thursday, February 10th. If you are in the San Bernardino area, please feel free to attend, remember that Glen Helen is open Thursdays.
If you havent had the chance to E-mail the county to let them know that you want night practice and more days open, PLEASE e-mail twilliams@lusd.sbcounty.gov and let her know. THIS IS NOT A RUMOR, IF WE DO NOT GET NIGHTS, WE WILL SHUT DOWN. So again, please show the county your concerns........

WE ALL WORKED TOGETHER AS A TEAM & BEAT THEM!!!!
We do have to get a few more things done before we can put lights up, but we are wide open.
You guys know the feeling when you are coming up short on something huge and you click your rear brake, lean forward & down side the jump prefectly..................well that is what it felt like to get a unanimous decision by the County Commissioners. It was awesome. A victory for all of us. We just need to keep working. Thanks!!
